Pictures of St Elmo

May 18, 2010

I was thinking that it might be nice to just take some pictures of St Elmo.
I’m trying to decide if this should be a game or not.
What if I post a picture and then you can guess where the picture was taken.  Does that sound fun?
Let’s start with Picture # 1:

Do you know where this landmark is?

Party … Here … Tonight

May 15, 2010

So, we’re having another party tonight.  This is a Children’s party (thus I have a chance to jump on the computer).  Ten little ones running and playing and screaming and … they’re actually not that bad.

We’re going to have Ice Cream Cones soon.  I’m sure the parents will be So Happy that we sugar up their kids before sending them home.  Hey, what’s a party without sugar?

Fish Tacos

May 11, 2010

So, ever since I was first introduced to Fish Tacos several years ago, I have liked them.  I know, they sound strange, but they are actually Really good.  I first tried Fish Tacos at a restaurant in California, so I don’t know exactly how they made them.  I have tried to make something similar, but have not come too close.  I usually bake some fish, add the fish sticks to a flour tortilla with some tartar sauce (which I usually just make — mayo and sweet pickle relish).  Sometimes I add shredded lettuce.  Well, tonight’s the night for Fish Tacos.  I found fish sticks on sale for a little box of 50 cents.  Yes, half a dollar.

The box is small — it says that the box contains 2 servings, but really, one box just serves one (if that).  But 50 cents.  I’m all about good food for not much money.  So, I’m waiting for the fish to finish baking and then it will be dinner time.  Yummy!
