Rite Aid 15 Minute Prescription Guarantee = LIE

May 26, 2011

You know, I keep seeing these advertisements for Rite Aid and their 15 minute prescription, and I have to say, that the guarantee is False Advertisement.  I am speaking from experience.  I took my prescriptions into Rite Aid and after almost and HOUR (NOT 15 minutes), I received my prescriptions.  Yes, I did contact Customer Service and the nice lady I spoke with said that if I walked away from the counter, the pharmacy staff would not know if I had left the store or not.  Okay, so when the pharmacy guy asked me if I was going to pick it up later and I said no that I was going to wait there for it.  … was I not clear that I was waiting there on the prescriptions?  I told the guy that I  would be walking around the store.  I even checked back in every once in a while just to check on the progress.
I thought that I was saving myself some time by going to Rite Aid.  I was Wrong.  Rite Aid’s 15 Minute Prescription Guarantee is NOT really a Guarantee — it is False Advertising.

This is just my own experience.
Hopefully they actually fill prescriptions in 15 minute for everyone else.
